Zety is an online resume builder that guides users through picking a template, adding ready-made content, personalizing the design and downloading the finished document. Advanced AI tools improve sections such as the resume objective, and an Import Existing Resume option transfers details from a current file. The template library includes designs named Cascade, Concept, Crisp, Cubic, Initials, Muse and Iconic, among many others. Companion tools include an ATS resume checker, a cover letter builder, example resumes by job title and a job search section.
Zety targets job seekers who want a polished resume quickly, and its audience skews toward people with limited work history: it reports that 53% of its users have little to no experience. Students, recent graduates and career changers get step-by-step guidance and pre-written phrases to describe their skills. Experienced professionals can start from traditional or minimalist templates and refine the content with AI suggestions. Zety reports that 7,500,000 users create resumes with its builder every year.
Typical uses include building a first resume from a student template, rewriting a weak objective with the AI improvement option, and uploading an old resume to carry its information into a new design. Applicants browse resume examples for specific job titles, such as the 450 job titles guide, to see how similar candidates describe their work. After finishing the resume, they can write a matching cover letter, run it through the ATS checker and use the free career guides for advice on wording and structure.
