facts
If you try to edit some CSS, it sometimes goes totally idiot mode and drives me crazy.
And sometimes, even when I don’t ask for that kind of thing, Claude suddenly starts doing something out of the blue and ends up nowhere. This happens especially after the chat goes on for a while.
Honestly, it starts to feel like the main goal is just to make you spend more tokens.
By Far Best for Coding
If Claude Opus 4.5 is already operating at this level, -tobehonest it is a bit scary, what's gonna happen in next 3 years? Even clueless person can create an app right now
Impressive
Been using Opus 4.5 for like 3 weeks now and honestly? kinda blown away.
Threw it at a legacy React codebase thats been haunting me for months - class components, weird state management, the whole mess. It actually understood what I was trying to do architecturally, not just "here's how to fix this syntax error." Caught edge cases I forgot existed lol
The plan mode thing is legit. It asks questions first, makes a plan.md, then executes. Finally feels like pair programming with someone who bothers reading the ticket before coding.
Not perfect tho. Asked it some graph theory stuff for an optimization problem and got a very "I read the Wikipedia article" type answer. Also the pricing stil hurts if you're iterating alot.
Switched from GPT-5.1 Codex which felt more "enterprise ready" I guess? But Opus writes code that actually looks like a human wrote it. Idk how to explain it but if youve used it you know.
Anyway yeah, best coding model I've tried so far. Not for everthing but for actual dev work its solid.
Best AI
In my opinion, this is the best AI tool on the market for writing code right now. I’ve used many others, including ChatGPT, and for pure coding quality, this one is simply better.
That said, there are clear downsides. The token limit is very restrictive, and having to pay $5 for almost every session can add up quickly. If you’re doing serious or long-running work, the cost becomes noticeable.
Still, when it comes to output quality, logic, and how clean and complete the code is, I honestly think it’s the best option available at the moment.

Max Plan and do everything
4.5 was good, but 4.6 is much better. I’m on the max plan and honestly it feels like a magical mystery tour, like the Beatles song 8). You more or less tell it what you want, and it gets you there.
I’ve read all reviews btw, and one thing they’re right about is CSS editing. That part can be really frustrating. You ask it to fix one small CSS bug, and somehow it breaks three other things, or changes stuff you didn’t even touch.
Most of the time it’s amazing, but when it comes to layout or tiny visual details, it can turn into this weird back-and-forth of “no, not that, undo that, just move this 5px”. Still, compared to where we were a year ago, this feels kind of insane.
