ChatGPT 5.4 just released. What's your first thoughts?
trying 5.4 a bit and my first impression is it feels more solid when the task gets serious.
With 5.3, I already liked it, but 5.4 feels a bit more locked in. Especially when the prompt gets longer, the task gets messier, or you want something that actually holds together from start to finish.
I also feel it’s better at coding-reasoning type work than casual chatting. Not saying 5.3 was bad, just feels like 5.4 loses the plot less often.
Could be too early, but that’s my first read.

I tried ChatGPT 5.4, and it feels noticeably better for backend work. There’s a real jump in reasoning compared to earlier versions. Frontend is improved too, but I still don’t think it’s at Claude’s level yet.
