Text With Jesus is an AI chatbot app that lets people chat with Biblical figures, including Jesus, the Holy Family, the Apostles and more. It belongs to the Text With suite from textwith.me, which also has Text With History for scientists, artists and world leaders, and Text With Authors for poets, playwrights and philosophers. The apps aim to enrich knowledge and spark curiosity, and are available on Apple, Android, Mac and PC devices. The app has drawn coverage from outlets such as NBC News, BBC, CNN and The New York Times.
People who enjoy exploring scripture through conversation are the natural users: curious believers, Sunday school teachers, students of religion and anyone who wants to ask a Biblical character a question in plain language. Readers who prefer a more playful route into Bible stories may enjoy it, while others may see it as a novelty. Press coverage shows opinions are mixed, with some critics calling it blasphemy and others describing it as a way to engage with faith, so users should treat it as an AI simulation rather than a spiritual authority.
Use cases include asking an Apostle what a passage meant, getting a quick explanation of a story from the Gospels, or comparing how different Biblical figures might respond to a moral question. Educators can use the sister apps for classroom discussion, chatting with a famous scientist from Text With History or a novelist from Text With Authors. Casual users might simply open the app on a phone or desktop for a few minutes of conversation. The multi-platform release means the same suite works on Apple, Android, Mac and PC.
