KnoWhiz generates flashcards that feel pretty standard — nothing groundbreaking here. Upload your slides or paste in some notes. It spits out quiz questions and study cards. The AI tutor feature works but doesn't feel sophisticated compared to what's out there.
Medical students cramming for the MCAT chemistry section might find this useful. You can dump your lecture videos and textbook chapters into KnoWhiz. It'll create personalized review materials. YouTube links work fine. Various file formats get processed without much fuss.
The pricing structure is odd. The free Lite plan gives you unlimited quizzes but caps you at one instant course monthly. Pretty restrictive for serious studying. Plus at $2.99 gets you unlimited instant courses but only one "crafted course" — whatever that distinction means.
Discord bot integration is nice for students who live in study servers. KnoWhiz can generate study materials right in your chat channels. There's also something called DeepTutor Beta. The site doesn't explain what makes it different from the regular AI tutor.
Premium costs $9.99 monthly. You get five crafted courses and unlimited everything else. That's reasonable if you're juggling multiple subjects. Pre-med students grinding through organic chemistry and anatomy simultaneously could justify the cost. KnoWhiz processes slides and video links quickly enough that you won't waste time waiting around for your study materials to generate.
